Ingredients
1 small beet, peeled and chopped
2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup water
Optional: pinch of cayenne, turmeric, or 1/4 apple for sweetness
Instructions
1. Add chopped beet, ginger, lemon juice, and water to a blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Strain the mixture using cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer.
4. Pour into a small glass and chill before serving.
5. Drink in the morning or before workouts.
Notes
Best consumed fresh but stores for up to 3 days refrigerated.
Freeze leftovers in silicone ice cube trays.
Add apple or a splash of pineapple juice for a sweeter flavor.
