Ingredients
1 tbsp fresh ginger, sliced or grated
Juice of ½ lemon
1½ cups water
Optional: 1 tsp honey, pinch of cayenne, cinnamon stick, or mint
Instructions
1. Bring water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
2. Add ginger and optional cinnamon; simmer for 5–7 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
4. Add honey if using.
5. Strain into a mug and enjoy warm.
Notes
Use powdered ginger if fresh isn’t available.
Best enjoyed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
Store up to 3 days in the fridge.
