Ingredients
1 ½ cups water
1 inch fresh ginger, sliced
1 inch turmeric root or ½ tsp ground turmeric
1 cinnamon stick
Pinch of black pepper (optional)
Lemon or honey to taste
Instructions
1. Add water, ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon to a pot.
2. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10–15 minutes.

3. Strain into a mug.
4. Add lemon, honey, or pepper if desired.
5. Serve warm.

Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days. Can be served iced or reheated gently.
